Mole repellent
A system that generates frequency sound and vibration using natural wind, to deter moles from entering a specific area
Purpose of development
Moles burrow underground in search of grubs whereby seedlings could wither.
Moles feed on roots whereby the tree could wilt and even die.
Moles dig trenches around fruit trees thereby causing damage to orchards.
Key features
Simulates natural wind thru self-learning
Optimized design of the vane section with rotation speed increased by 5%
Optimized design of the stand-alone power section using solar panel
Application allowable for user-centered monitoring
R&D direction
A mole repellent system has successfully been developed and commercialization thereof is underway, where diverse rotator design concepts are incorporated to produce quasi-natural wind by which vibrations and frequency sounds are generated to deter moles. This art of technology is presently being refined by adding holograms on the blade of rotator to further obtain the bird-repellent effect and carrying out usability test via farmers to collect their feedback.
